Highly-trained technician, teacher and musician with an outstanding record of achievement, John Pastorius combines an uncommon blend of exceptional musical proficiency, perfect pitch, mechanical mastery, problem-solving and leadership strengths. Recognized for quickly establishing positive rapport with clients John has superior listening and communication abilities, innate organizational and planning skills, and has a commitment to producing meaningful outcomes both independently and as collaborative team member - in short, John is a pleasure to work with.
John was raised in Smithfield, Virginia and moved to Northern Virginia in the fall of 2015. He is a graduate of the School of Piano Technology for the Blind in Vancouver, Washington (www.pianotuningschool.org) and is excited to begin his new career in Northern Virginia.
Legally blind and highly independent with a razor-sharp memory, John is fluent in literary and musical Braille codes, possesses a natural sense of humor and an infectious positive attitude. His guide dog, Volvo has been with him since 2017. Volvo is his second guide dog. John graduated from Lynchburg College in 2013.
